An Online Marketing Business Opportunity for the Promotional Expert in You

Article by Sam Schneider

You may be looking for ideas that will allow you to make extra money at home. Your excitement is understandable. After all, more and more people are seeking ways to make money online, using an Online Marketing Business Opportunity, in order to augment their household income. For the lucky few who are able to find their niche and truly make a lot of money from their efforts, they have the chance to abandon their regular day jobs altogether and work at home for the long haul. This can allow them to spend more time with their families and still enjoy a job that offers them an income comparable to, even greater than, what they would receive in the corporate arena.

The beauty of having a business at home is that you can do a lot of transactions and business deals over the Internet, and you can save a lot of time in terms of communication and talking through the latest advances in technology. Indeed, thanks to the digital revolution, there are many home based businesses online: some people choose to write web content for websites that have all the design but no content; others can make a website come to life and design it so that the already prepared content can have an online home; and still others can serve as liaisons between or among clients around the world by being virtual secretaries.

However, if you do not like sitting down to write articles, if you are not willing to learn web design in order to make it big in the digital design superhighway, and if being a virtual assistant is not your thing, then you can still earn your bread by being an online marketer. This online home business opportunity will allow you to make money in many different ways. For one, you can maintain a website and sign up with an affiliate marketing program. In this case, you will need to post advertisements online at your site; every time your visitors click on these advertisements, you get commissions.

You can also serve as consultant to people who want to market their wares and services online. Online marketing is like offline marketing in many ways. For one, you need to know what people like, what language your target market speaks, and where your target market is hanging out. On the other hand, these can be a little trickier online: for one, the Internet offers anonymity, and it can be difficult to tell whether you are truly talking to a member of your target market. The Internet also gives you the blanket of anonymity, and it may be difficult for you to talk to people and do marketing without them getting suspicious about what you are doing.

However, with good marketing tactics, as well as a good attitude, you will be able to succeed. Online marketing is all about talking to people, so before you plunge headlong into your marketing efforts, think about this: you are talking to people, not email addresses or forum posts. You need to know how to talk to people so that they know that you care: remember that people will not listen to what you want to say unless they know that you care about their welfare.

A common mistake that a lot of people make is to spam: that is, they email loads and loads of people, hoping to make a shot in the dark and get a customer out of the thousand or so that they email. This can be a suicidal affair for your business: it will give you a bad reputation online, and you can find it very difficult to get more clients if you’ve built an aura of being a spammer. You need to use a language unique to each person or group of people, and you need to avoid exploiting the Internet too much for its conveniences. These are only a few pieces of advice for taking advantage of any Online Marketing Business Opportunity. You also need to keep your online connection intact and your computer well-equipped in order to get your marketing work in order. The best Internet home businesses are those that operate with the discipline of brick and mortar businesses, and those that use the advantages of the Internet prudently. So: gather your marketing buddies together, have a web designer and content provider, and start racking your brains for this business. You can soon Work From Home on-line, make a lot of money and get a lot of attention in the busy marketplace that is the World Wide Web.

Hurl Your URL – Build Your Online Presence With Offline Strategies

Article by Corey Perlman

I’m an Internet marketer by trade and have been studying the topic for over ten years. I recently attended a great seminar where my friend and colleague, Tony Rubleski from Mind Capture Group, was speaking on the benefits of marketing. It was such a pleasure to hear one great strategy after another and not hear one word about Google, Yahoo or MSN. He wasn’t discounting the importance of online marketing; he was just reminding us that implementing smart, cost-effective offline marketing strategies is still a very effective way to promote your products and services. It was a refreshing reminder that the most successful marketers of the world have a variety of tools to choose from and determine the best offline or online strategy based on one simple question: who is the audience that they are marketing to?

So in honor of my good friend Tony, this article will focus on three offline strategies that you can use to promote your Website (aka Hurl Your URL). Your mission is to get as many eyeballs as you can to see your URL (for you non-techies out there, that’s your Website address) and then make it memorable or appealing enough so they run to a computer and get to your homepage.

Strategy #1: Your Business Card!

So for some of you, this was an easy one as you calmly pulled out your business card, saw your Website address on it and gave yourself a nice pat on the back. Others got that not-so-good feeling in their gut as they were figuring out how many cards they need to blow through until it’s time for a reprint and they can finally save face. If you are one of those people who are in need of a reprint, don’t worry, you’re not alone. I’d say it’s usually about half the audience in my seminars and workshops who need to get their URL on their business cards. But the other half who thought they were safe are not out of the woods yet either.

You see, simply having your URL on your cards is good, but giving the person a great call to action is the ticket to having a higher rate of response. So I look (most of the time on the back of the business card) for some type of offer or enticement for me to stop the seminar or workshop I’m conducting and go straight to their Website. I think I may have had two in the past five years that were good enough to make me do that.

So whether you are starting with no URL or a URL with no call to action, you have some work to do prior to your next print run. Give an article a way with great tips, or an awesome coupon for your product or service, something that drives people to your Website and motivates them to take action.

Strategy #2 Your Receipts!

You may have noticed lately that the large chains are starting to catch on to Hurling their URL on your purchase receipts AND giving a great call to action. The idea here is to get the customer to your Website and then to ask them to leave their name and email in exchange for something of value (i.e. coupon, free article, entry into a giveaway). Then, you can send them periodic emails with more great offers and timely coupons. It’s a true win-win for you and your customers.

Strategy #3 Your marketing materials (including flyers, pens, water bottles, postcards, your CAR!, pamphlets, CDs, etc)

I have a file where I keep all marketing materials I find without the company’s Website address. I plan to one day have a bonfire at my house and have a No URL marketing material burning party. You must Hurl Your URL on every piece of paraphernalia that your company sends out. And then you must create, yep, you guessed it, an intriguing call to action that makes them press pause on their Tivo episode of The Biggest Loser and jump online to get to your Website.

Speaking of call to action, I have an eNewsletter that I send out once a month with strategies and tips to increase your Google ranking and drive more traffic to your Website. If that doesn’t entice you enough, I also give out my personal recommended resources for keyword suggestion sites, hosting sites, enewsletter and blogging sites, etc. If you could use more leads coming through the doors of your Website, don’t wait, go sign up for it. By the way, it’s completely free. No strings. The Web address is in my bio below.

Ok, that was my example of a call to action — now it’s your turn! Good luck!

What is Marketing

What is Marketing

Article by Deborah Pretty

If your brain can move your body with a split second command thought, imagine what it can do with concentrated thought. Unknown

What is Marketing?Marketing is everything. And everything else is just Stuff.

Well, I have some good news and some not so good news.

We’ve often heard about the best ground floor opportunity in the history of the world….. or the #1 franchise…..the most advanced breakthrough medical product ever….. any doctor will die for……must I go on.

Here’s the Good News!

It doesn’t make a difference of the company you represent, what product you offer, or which franchise you start.

If you omit this one component…..you can spend a few hundred or millions and you will get the same results.

Zilch……nada……….No-thing…..Marketing~

Marketing is anything you do to attract, grow and retain existing clients.

Quite simply, marketing is good customer service…..processes that allow you to identify potential clients, and keep them coming back again and again.

Marketing has nothing to do with trickery, pretentiousness, or getting people to buy services they don’t want or need. That’s bad marketing. Marketing isn’t high risk, expensive or confusing.

When business owners think of making more money, they think it will cost them more investment dollars, more staff, and overlook the obvious marketing opportunities that are staring them in the face.

Unfortunately, if you’re like most growing businesses, you probably allocate too few resources to marketing. Don’t be like most business owners that overlook the many low-risk or low-cost marketing ideas.

Here is a short list of marketing weapons.

How many have you employed?

• Text messages

• Unsolicited mail that’s addressed to you• Advertisement on voice mail (cell& home)• Car magnet• Logo• Name of Company• Community involvement• Business cards• Print website on business checks• Create signature file• Every free board(on or offline)• Networking Events• Employee attire• Signs outside• Endorsement letters • Computer – website• Online marketing• Place fliers in all outgoing mail (bills… letters…etc..)• Business website• Social Network• Gift certificates• Referral program• Marketing on telephone hold• Business name on checks• Free clinics• Article in a publication• Stationery (business name)• Satisfied Clients• Free seminars

Well….how many weapons had you employed?………

Marketing is simpler than you thought isn’t it? We’re taking the myth out of marketing.

4 ways you can suceed with internet marketing!

Article by Jameson

Internet Marketing is similar to an atom, without a doubt, when put under the influence of other forces, stressors and turbulence, its nature is changing. The internet marketing world is exactly the same – since it depends on multiple factors, it is a natural thing to be in a continuous state of change – nothing is more volatile than the human nature, therefore, the internet marketing world has a rather fluxuating, unstable element as well.

In the internet marketing world things are a bit different – if you are an engineer in the offline world (the real world) or a development planner or something similar, you will see that taking care of certain jobs often requires you to think, it is the same with internet marketing.

Now, aside from this general theory, I will also lay down some interesting tips that may aid in your internet-marketing career.

But before I do that I am going to tell you a method by which I think when it comes to everything in the internet marketing world. I call it L.O.A, stands for law of averages which many of you have heard of it basic marketing 101. Any way it means the more “_____” I put out there the more chance I have of a return, regardless of what it is. So keep that in mind into this short list of internet marketing ideas/tips.

1. Article marketing- It is a fast and free way to get your content out in the search engines. It’s also a great way to back link.

2. Offline marketing- This is a fast semi-cheap method that works so great because no body does it. Oh yea get some drop cards and some step downs and hit the streets.

3. Forum marketing- Ok after you have written a few articles go out and let people know about it through forums. Most forums allow a little signature box where you can put in a link.

4. Blog marketing- Again take those 2-3 articles and go hit the thousands of blogging sites. A quick blog entry goes a long way with your marketing.Do you see already how you are starting to link everything all together?Do you see the power of just these few methods and how they will start to “backlink” you niche product/information.

Step–step Guide to Affordable Marketing

Step–step Guide to Affordable Marketing

Article by Deirdre Hutchins

Step 1: Define your goalsWith every campaign, you must start with what you hope to achieve. Why are you pursuing this marketing activity? It is usually to build your brand, get new business, grow current customers, or some combination of all of the above. If you are new to business, and especially marketing, it is best to start with one clearly defined goal. For example: to get 20% more new customers.

Step 2: Define your budgetWith enough time and money, all things are possible. However, none of us have infinite amounts of either. The best way to maximize your efforts is to clearly define how much money you plan to put toward your established goal (from step 1.) Every business’ budget is unique. You must be realistic, balancing your goals with the actual cash flow, and then working within your means.

Step 3: Implement one idea at a timeOf course, the larger the budget, the easier traditional marketing can be. Press Releases, commercials, ads all cost money. But, a lot can be accomplished with little money and some creativity.

Here are some “grassroots” marketing ideas:

-Word of mouth, refer a friend program

-White papers

-Internet (establish or leverage a web presence)

-Networking (online and offline)

-Flyers

You have to decide what helps you achieve your established goal while keeping within your established budget. Implement one idea at a time so you can monitor as you go which ideas work and which do not.

Step 4: Analyze your returnAfter each idea is implemented, you must analyze how it performed. Although results usually do happen quickly, it is also best to allow enough time to truly know if something was effective or not before pulling it. You don’t want to prevent something from working for you. Analyze the financial return, as well as how it affected your goal.- What was your return on investment? How did it compare to your expectations?- Did you achieve your goal? Did it take any steps toward achieving your goal?- Would you do it again if your goal was the same?Remember, if your goal is growing your brand recognition, return on investment may not be as relevant in the short term. You will have to decide what your success metrics are, and review each campaign as it performs.

Step 5: Re-define your plan based on goals and ROIWith the analysis done in step four, you decide where to go next. If the campaign was a success, you can either go back to step one and define new goals for the next campaign, or back to step three to continue with the next phase of your previous goal. If the campaign was not effective, try the next idea from step three. However, this is a good time to re-evaluate why the idea did not work. Was it simply not relevant to your goal? Was your goal unrealistic? Use this time wisely to learn from the first campaign and decide how to proceed. Nothing is lost if you learned from it.

Learning Online Affiliate Marketing – How To Be Cautious And Successful In Online Affiliate Marketing Both Online and Offline

Article by Desmond Okosi

One does need to be cautious in the field of affiliate marketing, be it either online or offline. For every great, legitimate opportunity out there, there are more ready to con. The internet has made it quite easy for these con artists to operate and even thrive.

Before you plunge head first into the field on Online Affiliate Marketing you should do some careful inspections. A general rule of thumb is to never do business with anyone that doesn’t have a fixed address, a website, a customized email address (i.e: youname@yourdomian.com) and their personal and business telephone number. If all they have to offer is a free email address (i.e yourname@gmail.com, yourname@yahoo.com), then look for another company. Doing business only by email is very dangerous. It makes it far too easy for these con artists to slip away and never be heard from again. Unfortunately, when they slip away it is likely with your money or earnings. This applies to both online and offline affiliate marketing.

If you find a company that you are interested in, then check the start up costs. These should be minimal, if any at all for offline affiliating marketing but not should be paid for when it is online marketing. Ask is there is a way to pay back the start up costs through your sales commission. Most are willing to do this. However, if there seems to be a lot of initial money that needs to be paid by you, then find something else. The chances are good that they will take your money and run, leaving you with worthless product.

Finally, ask what support you will receive if you agree to become part of their Online Affiliate Marketing plan. In the case of online marketing, the products should have reviews, articles, banners, ezine ads and email messages that you can use to get buyers and earn your commissions. In the case of offline marketing, there should be someone assigned to guide you through the process and answer any questions that you have. They should also offer you advice on how best to market their product. It is up to you in the ends but they should offer you some start up ideas. If their legitimate company they should want to help you all they can. They more you are able to sell the greater benefit for them as well.

You should keep in mind that Online Affiliate Marketing takes a lot of work, both online and offline. It is like any other business except that the risk to you is much lower. Ignore companies that promise huge salaries with little effort, it just won’t happen. Many people make great successes with Online Affiliate Marketing programs. However, they do work incredibly hard. However, the rewards come when the hard work pays off. You’re the one that will reap the rewards, not your boss.

Online Affiliate Marketing is a great way to start working for yourself. With lots of hard work and creativity you could be well on your way to great earnings doing something that you enjoy. It won’t be easy and in the beginning you’ll have to work harder then you ever did in a full-time job. But if you’re driven it will all be worth it in the end.
