Offline Marketing Super Star Reveals Secrets to Making Over ,000,000…In His Own Words!

Offline marketing is one of the hottest ways to make money on the Internet. Amazingly, some people have been doing it for years. Don Alm is one of those persons. Want to know how to set up your Internet offline marketing business in a matter of days? Read this true story and your mind will go into advance mode! This is a great idea yet so simple. He made over ,000,000 in 15 years. Here is Don’s story in his own words:

…”Waaaay back in “Ancient Times” of 1992, when Faxes started becoming popular….while sitting at a table with 3 restaurant owners at a Chamber of Comm luncheon. The speaker asked the audience (about 150 business people)….”Would anyone using Faxes in their business, please raise your hand!”

Almost EVERY hand went up. It was astounded and a thought entered my mind (as has happened often, you get “Idea Sparks”)…. speaking my thought out loud, “Hey! What if you restaurant guys were to send a FAX with your Daily Specials on them….to these office folks who are looking for what to do for lunch?”

One of the restaurant owners looked over at me and said, Why don’t YOU set this up! I’ll be your FIRST customer!”

The other 2 restauranteurs said, “Yeah! Count me in too!”

It became apparent you to find a “Fax Software” program that could send out faxes in bunches, from your computer.

So… put together a Sample page and started making phone calls to local offices…ask to speak to the “Office Manager” (Business Offices, Doctors and Dentists Offices…any office suspecting 5 or more employees)

Talk to the “Office Manager” and tell him you are putting together a “Restaurant Fax Sheet” where 6 to 8 local restaurants would have their Daily Specials shown. Special Deals JUST FOR Office people. These Fax Sheets would be on their Fax Machines every morning. This would be a good service for the people in your office. If YOU will give me your Fax Number, you will be put you into the program and you can quit at any time!”

About 99% of the Office Mgrs phoned gave me their Fax Numbers.

Then go to the Restaurant Owners…showed them a Sample of the Fax Sheet…then showed them your List of Office Fax Numbers and quoted a fee.

Within 2 days you could have 8 restaurants agree to pay a day…5 a week.

Thats 8 clients paying me 5/wk…just for arranging to have my Home PC send out some electrons! An easy ,000 a week. (To make it easy to collect the 5/wk)

It gets better;

Proceeded to do this in other towns and sell the program to individuals across the country.

Now…even though he had to “Sell” his service to individuals, he was NOT a “Sales-Oriented” person. He actually “Dis-Liked” selling BUT…he Dis-Liked what he was doing to earn money, even more.

Have you ever wondered if any restaurant owners are ALREADY SOLD on using Faxes to generate business!”

Instead of “fighting” to sell people on using Faxes… go to restaurants that are already using Faxes. One of the restaurants in my town had a Fish Bowl next to their cash register with a sign that said; “Drop your business card in the Bowl to Join our “Fax Club” to receive special offers via Fax!

What do you think this business man was doing? He was “Collecting Fax” numbers to Fax his Daily Specials to his diners. One of his waitresses came in early each day and send out faxes to over 50 local businesses.

I thought for a minute and asked, “What if I were send the faxes FOR YOU?… to YOUR Fax List? He then asked, “How Much?” The price is a day…0 a week….he asked, “How SOON can you start?”

So…a new business was started…just by being “Inquisitive” and thinking.

Then you phone your “Workout Guy” and tell him to phone every Deli in the phone book, saying the following;

“Mr Deli Owner…my name is _____. I provide FAX Services for local restaurants. Are you sending faxes to local offices?”

If they said “No!”.. thank them for their time and hang up ( ONLY look for Delis that are ALREADY SOLD on sending Faxes to local offices.

If they said, “Yes! We Fax our Daily Specials and Order Form to our List of local offices!” then replied, “Hey! Terrific! I can do that FOR YOU, every day…for a day…0 a week!…it is easy to set up.

Two responses were given, “Nah! We’re OK!”….or, “Hey! Yah! We’ve been thinkin’ ’bout farmin’ this out. It’s become a Bear for us!”

42 Delis were enrolled in the first year.Your business will grow to develop. If you get large enough, special equipment and more phone lines will be needed. You can set up a “Remote Faxing” business where the equipment in Costa Rica or where ever can contact the equipment in Queens, to send Faxes if you want. It all can be done remotely.

Boost fees up to a day…5 a week once you are established, and STILL Operate this “Old-Fashioned” “Daily Special Fax” service.

Always remember “Possibilities” that are STILL available to people who “put on their Thinking Caps and TAKE ACTION”!

You who are reading this could also consider providing “Extra Services” (like SEO, Google Local or Auto Responders…etc) to businesses that ALREADY HAVE A WEB SITE! They DON”T need to be “sold” on the merits of having a website!….they need to consider “IMPROVING THEIR EXISTING WEBSITE”!

YOU could approach people the same using “Fax” service, contacting people who are ALREADY DOING IT!”

Marketing Ideas for Work at Home Moms

As a work at home mom myself, I know when I started my business the funding for advertising was not available. I began to look for ways I could promote my business online and offline without spending any money or ways I could market my business cheap.

After I used many free and cheap marketing ideas I was able to build my business enough that I could afford to spend money on advertising! Here are the best ways I have found to market your business that actual work.

1: Join Forums- Forums offer a great opportunity to market your business. Now, joining forums just to promote yourself will only get you banned, so you much advertise your business tactfully. When you join a forum introduce yourself and participate in discussions. Make sure you set up your signature to display with all of your posts. You do not have to sit and post all day, but posting to a few threads will get that signature on several different areas of the forum! Not only will the forum members be interested and check our your website, search engines also index forums and that offers extra exposure!

2: Moderate a chat room or group- Offering to help moderate a chat room or online chat group is another way I have found to work very well! Because you are a moderator, people see you as being an example, which opens a new door to another prospect for your business!

3: Get a website- If you want to run your business online a website is vital! Once you have a website you can submit it to search engines for free. If your company does not offer websites, I would highly recommend having a professional build you one. If you are going to market online, you might as well do it right…..With a professional looking website.

4: e-Mail signatures- These are very powerful! Set up a signature and attach it to every email you send! Include your name, business name, and website url. Even if you email a website about an order or email someone just to ask a question! That puts your website and information in front of another new prospect.

5: Write articles- Take some time and write some articles on a topic that if of interest to you. Many website use articles for content for their visitors to read and several webmasters use articles in ezines. When you write
any article, you can add an author bio, which can include any info you want to add. This area can have your name, business description, website link, and contact info. Just think if you write 5 articles that 10 websites display the amount of exposure you will have for your business!

Developing an Online Marketing Strategy – 5 Key Phases

Developing an Online Marketing Strategy – 5 Key Phases

In order to successfully promote on the internet you need to develop a sound online marketing strategy with which you can guide your efforts. Marketing on the internet is different from the traditional offline tactics we have all grown accustom to. Offline firms create demand with their advertising whereas online the customer decides what they want and then goes looking for it. The need to determine what people are looking for is the first step towards establishing the strategic goals of your business. Based upon those findings you then move forward in developing a promotional plan with which to market your business.

Let’s look at 5 key phases you need to move through to determine your market and the demand in order to establish the strategic goals that will guide your business.

Establish Your Target Market

Your very first step will be to narrow down those target markets you have an interest in. It is quite normal and actually recommended to focus on multiple markets initially so that you leave yourself with plenty of options. Besides it is inevitable that not all your target markets will prove to be worth the investment of either your time or effort.

Determine Profit Potential

Do the target markets you are looking at display income potential? If nobody is spending money in the niche than from a business standpoint it is simply not worth pursuing. There are relatively simple ways to determine this which involve doing a quick search using a keyword research tool which is particularly helpful in determining the number of searches a particular keyword receives over a specified period of time.

Now search ‘demand’ alone does NOT determine profitability but what does is the number of ads being displayed when you ‘Google’ these keywords online. The results you get when you do this type of online search will give you a good idea of the size and competitiveness of the market. Over on the right hand side is where you will see the paid ads. If people are willing to pay for ads the market must be profitable.

Who Are Your Competitors

The paid ads you see in the search results are also your competitors along with any others who show up in your online search results. Visit their websites and see how they got their sites laid out and what type keywords the site is built around.

Knowing who your competitors are and how they promote will tell you a lot about the market itself. Along the same lines watching your competitors can also help clue you into any changes coming along that you may not be aware of.

Use your competitors as a means to measure or compare what you have to offer to the marketplace.

Is There a ‘Need” for Your Product?

Is there products similar to yours in the market and if so how well do they sell. Visit forums and blogs in the niche you are entering and ‘scout’ out any opinions and/or suggestions relative to its popularity.

Also look for any improvements you can make based upon feedback you have accumulated to enhance the product giving it greater value in the marketplace.

On the other hand you may find the current trend is on a downward slide saving you the futile investment of time and effort and avoiding needless frustration.

Repeat Sales

Determine a strategy in which you are able to successfully promote additional products to your customer base. Whether these products are related affiliate products or upgraded versions you want to be able to repeatedly monetize your list of buyers.

Face it traffic generation takes time, effort, and often times money to find buying customers therefore selling a customer more than once is a cost effective marketing strategy.

And one last thing to remember, ALWAYS offer a money back guarantee! Marketing on the internet can be a very ‘impersonal’ experience due to the ‘remote nature’ of electronic marketing. With this said you need to give customers some assurance that their purchase comes with ‘safeguards’ since no familiarity with the merchant is established beforehand.

Successfully promoting anything on the internet requires an effective online marketing strategy to be developed. A determination of your market and its demand must first be made in order to establish the strategic goals of your business. Marketing on the internet is a business and must be treated as such. Conducting the necessary research is required to minimize your chances of failure. Upon completion of your research you will then be able to develop a promotional plan that will move your business forward. The 5 phases we spoke of here today will help to better prepare both you and your business for the success you seek and the failure you want to avoid.

5 Simple Steps to Adding Offline Marketing to your Online Business

5 Simple Steps to Adding Offline Marketing to your Online Business

Taking my struggling consulting business online and following the business model I now do turned everything around for me, financially and otherwise. So when I started hearing from my mentors that I might want to add some offline marketing tactics back into the mix, I was hesitant to say the least.

But then I started studying and learning more about some specific direct mail strategies, and recognizing the power they have, I started wondering in maybe I wasn’t missing an important piece of the puzzle to take my business up another notch.

Then I started seeing some amazing results from my colleagues who were using direct mail in addition to their online marketing efforts – things as simple as a postcard – and I decided I needed to get into this game myself. (I’ll keep you posted on my own results in a future article.)

How do you get started adding direct mail marketing to your mix? Here are 5 simple steps:

1. Start collecting physical addresses

You may have the addresses of those clients and customers who have purchased from you already, which is a great start. But you also want to start collecting snail mail addresses from those people who sign up for your list. This way, when you’re ready to send a physical mailing out, you’ll have all the information you need. AND, as email deliverability gets muddier, you’ll always have this other option of reaching your audience.

2. Plan a campaign

I always tell my clients to plan an online promotion campaign when they are ready to market a specific product, program or service, instead of sending out a single announcement. The campaign I recommend typically includes a minimum of three emails.

Same goes for an offline mailing. You need to plan a campaign, with more than one mailing, in order to truly get and discern a return on your investment.

3. Go cheap the first time

Something I learned when I was the PR director for a university was NOT to do an expensive mailing until we had cleaned our list. Peoples’ addresses change for a variety of reasons and you may not always have the most up-to-date ones when you’re ready to send your mailing.

So, here’s a tip to clean your list before you start investing in some higher-end mailers. Send a postcard that has your return address on it to your current list. Then update your list via the returned postcards you get. Then make sure you have your return address on every mailing you do to keep your list as up-to-date as possible.

4. Keep it simple

Do a postcard, which gets read right away, with a simple, direct, compelling message and an immediate call to action, with graphics that don’t distract but support your message.

5. Track your mailings

The easiest way to do this is to send your readers to a simple website address (URL) that you only use for the purposes of that mailing. All you have to do is redirect that URL to your existing web page (where your offer resides) using the tracking link feature in your shopping cart. That way you can tell how many people typed in the URL and how many people took advantage of your offer. This is how you measure your return on your investment.

Getting started with adding direct mail to your marketing mix isn’t difficult. And by combining your online strategies with offline ones, you’ll be gaining a lot more clients and customers and bringing in a lot more income.

Marketing on the Cheap: 7 Things You Can Learn From Offline Marketers

Marketing on the Cheap: 7 Things You Can Learn From Offline Marketers

In the Internet Marketing community, we are constantly exposed to strategies and tactics to market your product/service online and drive traffic to your web site. I don’t mean to dismiss the value of any of these methods.  In fact we use most of them ourselves.

But, it almost makes you wonder… “How did people ever market before the Internet?”

That question served as my jumping off point in developing this list. You see, it seems everybody is talking about how to increase your online marketing, but nobody ever talks about what you can do to increase your offline marketing with little or no funds.

So here it is: 7 Tried and true tactics for marketing on the cheap. Online or Off

Tip 1: Make yourself newsworthy

Getting a mention of your company in the right medium can do wonders for your career and your business. How much better do you think a book does when Oprah adds it to her book club?  For that fact, would there even be a Dr. Phil? I can only hope not.

The trick to this one is to make yourself interesting in some way.  Gary Vanderchuck from winelibrary.tv is the perfect example. He’d be the first to tell you that selling wine is not the most newsworthy of topics.  So how did he do it? His over-the-top personality and antics. Selling wine is not entertaining.  Getting Conan Obrien to eat grass and suck rocks on national TV to “prepare his palette” is.

Tip 2: Leveraging other peoples work and money

The Best Story Ever: David pwn3s Goliath – A startup I worked at called eRoom Technology used this tactic against Lotus, a painfully well funded corporation at the time.  eRoom had the better product, but Lotus had the marketing bucks.

Lotus was having a press conference on their new virtual collaboration package at a big industry event in Vegas. They paid handsomely to have all the top reporters flown in and lavished them will luxury perks and gifts. They had slick presentations, great location… the whole nine. eRoom’s stroke of genius was to buy the 4 giant banners that were located directly behind the speakers head (remember this was a an industry conference where they accept advertising sponsors). The next step was to have 100 beanie babies, wearing a tiny eRoom t-shirts, placed on each reporters chair immediately before the conference was to start.

The take away: Every last reporter talked about the eRoom coup as part of their Lotus article. Lotus paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for the press conference, eRoom spent less than k. Brilliant.

The concept of the Mall is another the perfect example of this tactic in action.  Smaller stores move into a space with bigger “anchor” stores in hopes of enticing walk-by traffic that are headed to the anchor store.  Ever see what happens to a strip-mall when all the anchors leave? Not pretty.

As you can see, this rule does not have to be limited to physical location.  Find a synergistic company (preferably outside your industry, but serving same market) and find a way to piggyback on what they are doing anyway. Could be their location, could be their advertising program, could be their branding, could be their research. Find that angle and work it.

Tip 3: The Identity Kit and Ruthless Branding

The marketing maxim that a person needs to see something 6-7 times before it registers still holds true after all these years. But remember, just because you are on the internet does not mean that it does not apply everywhere.

Create an identity kit including business cards, letterhead, envelopes, fax templates, email signatures, folders. Make sure everything includes your logo, business name, and tagline if you have one. A nifty trick is to also use your logo as your profile picture for message boards and social media sites. A crucially important step is to make sure you are consistent offline and online. Same logo, same fonts, same color palette. When this works well, it will look like your company is EVERYWHERE. Better yet, it’s dirt cheap.

Tip 4: Keep your Customers Happy

This should be a no-brainer, but I see it happen time and time again with web-based businesses.  All of the emphasis is put on generating traffic and new leads, while current customers are left to wither and rot.  The truth is that keeping a customer is 5-7 times cheaper (that’s 700% kids) than acquiring a new one. Moreover, the probably of selling to an existing customer is 60-70% whereas to a new prospect it is 5-10% at best.

What you need to do is put in a customer retention program if one does not already exist.  Communicate with them just as often as new prospects, and give away as much to them as you would to entice a new prospect. Just because it is cheaper to obtain a customer on the internet, does not make that customer worth less.

Tip 5: Maximize referrals

The IM community is actually starting to make some great progress on this front. However, the problem I am still seeing is that the referrals are still taking place on the prospect side, not the customer side.  Again this ties into rule #4 Keep your customer happy.  For example, you offer a free eBook download and encourage that person to refer 5 friends for an additional bonus.  Until that first person buys something from you they are not a customer, they are still a prospect.

The critical difference is: When a prospect refers another prospect, you still have to start from square one with the new lead.  When a customer refers a prospect, you have a 50% (yes FIFTY) percent higher chance of making a new sale.

The take away: Spend AT LEAST as much time creating a referral program for current customers as you do for new leads.

Tip 6: Form a Joint Venture

The term JV and JV Deal get thrown around a lot on the internet.  In most cases it actually refers to an affiliate program and not a true joint venture. A true Joint Venture is when both you and a partner pony up something to reach a common goal.

For example, say you sell investment real estate. You find that 99% of your customers need to have their property managed after the purchase. What’s the JV no brainer? You guessed it, a property manager. In this case you could form a JV with a property manager to split costs on advertising, office space, technology, or anything else that helps you reach a shared goal.

Tip 7: Donate your time or stuff

Chances are that you are interested in something outside the internet or business world.  Why not find a way to explore a hobby while helping others and creating some good will towards your business.  The key emphasis on this is subtlety. You don’t want to be doing this only to push your business. Hopefully you should get something out of helping people in-and-of itself.  The goodwill is just a bonus.  Albeit a very strong one.

A great example I saw recently was a realtor who bought a large passenger van and posted a giant picture of his noggin complete with logo, name, and phone number. He had originally bought the van for his customers use when they bought or sold a house with him (Was perfect for moving locally or when new buyers needed to pick up big things like a fridge, dryer, etc)  . This was a great idea itself.  What made it brilliant is when he read a newspaper article that a free after school program was shutting down because they no longer had the budget to ferry the kids from the school to the rec. center.  So what did he do?  He donated his van between the hours of 3-5 to the center. They did the driving and paid for the gas. As you can imagine he became an instant Rockstar in the community.

Follow up: I spoke to him a year later. His already successful business was up 400% and he was able to cancel all other lead generation marketing. Genius.

Use Offline Marketing To Help Your Online Business Prosper

Use Offline Marketing To Help Your Online Business Prosper

So you now have your online business, you’ve got your computer inside your home office, your Internet connection and all the online tools that are necessary to launch your online marketing campaign. You’ve heard all the talk about the viral effect the Internet has on online marketing. You’re well set, and have trashed any ideas of ever employing offline marketing. After all, traditional marketing is a thing of the past, right? In order to succeed, we need to go with the times, right?

Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but if that’s what you believe (as many others), then you’re setting yourself up for a big downfall. A major one, if I may add.

The truth of the matter is, offline marketing is as essential today as it was before the Internet was even conceived. While it’s true that the Internet has revolutionized the way marketing is being done today – partly due to the steady increase of online users over the last several years – its reach hasn’t penetrated all types of demographics yet.

I’ll even go so far to say that offline marketing has increased the impact of traditional marketing. As a heavy online user, how many times have you been annoyed by pop up ads that seem to spring out of nowhere every time you’re online? Another reason is desensitization. We got so used to seeing online ads everywhere that we’ve become accustomed to ignoring them.

Offline advertisements have that genuine impact that online advertisements cannot match. When you see a striking billboard explaining how a brand of cologne can make you irresistible to the ladies, you can’t help but pay attention. A brochure that tells you in a few words how this brand of shampoo can make your hair smooth as silk, we at least consider the thought of giving it a try. And we feel that the companies that produced these offline advertisements are easily held accountable for any complaints that we might have in their products.

Don’t get me wrong. Online marketing is definitely here to stay; you’d do well to use it to your advantage. The point here is to realize how offline marketing, especially when integrated with online marketing, can catapult your online business to greater heights.

So keep doing your SEO’s; maintain your business website; write your business proposals; spread the word about your products using your Facebook Page. Do all that, but don’t forget to contact the newspaper companies for a chance to have them display your ads, or use the radio stations to “air” your advertisements.

Administer marketing tasks just like how the businessmen of yore did it, on top of the online marketing tricks you’ve learned on the Internet.

Remember, your goal is to reach as many people as possible. The Internet cannot do it alone, and if there’s one thing that can fill all the gaps, that would be offline marketing.

A Few Simple Internet Marketing Ideas to Help You Go Far

Article by John Rama

Internet marketing is surrounded by many myths because there is a lot of inaccurate information floating around. Newbie internet marketers often soak up the wrong information and they end you giving it credence. We will be looking at a few Internet marketing ideas in this article that can be used right away for excellent results. The first step when it comes to internet marketing is to be of service to your customers and website visitors. You want to be someone who your target audience seeks out for information or advice in your niche. There are many scam artists online who are only trying to exploit people’s ignorance. Therefore if you can be someone who provides real value, people will appreciate you. They will find it refreshing that you are offering some real value and not just selling products. You are in a better position to make recommendations for your products after people trust you. You don’t have do hardcore selling here but just let them know of the benefits of your product in the best possible way. If your recommendations are truly helpful to your potential customers, making sales will be much easier. Not only that, even after they buy from you, you have to keep on building a relationship with your customers so that you get more sales in the future. While you do your promoting, always remember that you also want to keep improving your reputation and credibility. The secret to successful marketing is to have happy and satisfied customers. You also have to remember that setting up an online business and earning money by marketing products is a not walk in the park. There are many scams on the internet that convince people of many fallacies such as the fact that they don’t have to put much effort in but they will be able to make a lot of money working from home. However, the fact is that, just like any other business endeavor, you will have to put in a lot of work to make your internet marketing business successful. It is impossible to be successful overnight and it can take quite a bit of time to get things set up. The person who works the hardest and the smartest wins the race. It is all about how you see it. Your goal should be to gain publicity in as many different ways as possible. For example, there are ways to promote your website that don’t even involve the internet, including print ads and old fashioned “snail mail” advertising. Many online marketers are doing this successfully, but you have to remember to track even this traffic. When you do any kind of offline promotion, have a landing page created to track these results. This will give you a fair idea on how people are responding and what the response rate is like. Testing is the only way to know how well your advertising dollars are performing. Putting in the time and effort to create the best product for your target audience is what internet marketing is all about.

Online V. Offline Marketing

Online V. Offline Marketing

Online Vs Offline | I caught up with some old friends from Sacramento a few days ago. I knew them back when I was working with them in a small MLM company. As we chatted about the past when we used to spend hours upon hours going around college campuses, shopping malls, grocery stores, and Starbucks to recruit prospects for our businesses. I can’t believe the dichotomy of the situation between problems faced by internet marketers and offline marketers.

In those days, I remember we had contests to see who can get the most number in the hour, 3 hours, and the whole day. I thought I did good when one day I got a total of 70 leads. (Mind you, we were telling those college kids that this was for an internship, yikes!) The next day I was upstaged by my friend who ended the day with 100 leads, talk about skills!

We worked hard. If we weren’t recruiting, we where presenting. If we weren’t presenting, we were qualifying, training, or doing org meetings. I mean we were really doing it. The only difference between us and the big dogs who were the money.

We never saw the money.

We worked really, really hard but we were running blind. Nobody had experience and we had no strategy. Our upline told us to just do it and we’ll eventually crack the nut and see some results.

Results never came.

I’m sure my experience doing this business offline isn’t unique. I’m sure a lot of you out there had worked equally, if not, more intense than us. In the end, we had our work ethics, but not guidance and strategy.

What I notice was that internet marketers face the opposite problem. They have such ingenious ideas of promoting their brand, their products, their marketing strategies, but they only dabble in it. They fail to
fully utilize those tools to its potential.

If you’re doing article marketing, you better write an article a day and submit it to different directories to get your links out there. You really can’t expect to write one article and expect it to go viral. It doesn’t happen. Online marketing as all about value added. You have to have great contents, a lot of them, out there.

I hate to say it, but I see that offline marketer s are running dumb while online marketers are running lazy.
Get your marketing funnel set up. Get your website set up, and start adding content. I think it is time to inject some of the offline marketing work ethics into online marketers and you will see a big difference in your business.

Offline Marketing Tips For The Holiday Season

The holiday frenzy is now less than three months away. The shopping centers will soon be filled with gift givers searching high and low for that special item for that special someone. This is also a time that people are desperately searching for a way to make some extra Christmas cash.

This is the perfect time to advertise if you run a business or website. It’s never too early to start marketing for the holidays. Really, the best rule of thumb is to start thinking about your marketing efforts five to six months ahead of time. Get your creative juices flowing in high gear and start making a promotional plan that best fits your business.

Below are some offline marketing tips to get you started:

We all know that October, November, and December are among the busiest shopping months for the holiday season. That is the ideal time to create flyers and business cards to pass out or display in various high-traffic locations.

Place flyers and business cards on bulletin boards in shopping centers, grocery stores, your local post office, schools, college campuses, restaurants, and coffee shops.

Another ideal place to leave a flyer is right inside your shopping cart when you’ve finished shopping. You may be surprised at how many people look at these, especially bargain hunters.

What about leaving your business cards in restrooms in various hot spots such as shopping malls, theatres, restaurants, libraries, laundry mats, airports, and hospitals? Really just anywhere that people will see them will suffic . The idea is to get your business or website in front of as many people as possible.

Other great locations include banks, hair salons, daycare centers, motels, churches, floral and bridal shops, doctors and dental offices, and the list can literally go on and on. These are all excellent places to promote.

Another good opportunity…especially if you sell craft items as your business–attend craft shows. Craft shows are huge around Christmas time. Always have business cards readily on display along side your crafts. Another thought…drop a couple of your cards down in your customers shopping bags. You can also browse the other booths and pass your cards out to the other crafters.

Here is a bit of creativity for you. If you are in the direct selling business, stuff those stockings with some of your small favorites along with a business card. Votive candles work well for this. Never forget to include your card with the name of your business/website and a telephone number. Do you make and sell jewelry? This is also a great idea for a stocking stuffer.

Make cookies or pastries and place them in decorative tins along with your card…this can also be a great gift idea with a personal touch. Say for instance, you are a pampered chef representative…food gift items with your card attached would be the perfect idea for promotion.

When making out your Christmas cards, don’t forget to include one of your business cards. When having lunch with a friend…spark up a conversation and share your business with them and always offer your card. Make it a habit of keeping a stash of flyers and cards in your car at all times. You never know when the opportunity will present itself.

For instance, you run into an old friend or acquaintance in a coffee shop you haven’t seen in awhile…you’re always ready on the spot to share and promote yourself. Be excited about what you do. Your friend will most likely be interested in learning more. This could also lead to a new recruit.

Another idea would be office supply stores. Visit them and ask if you could display your business cards and flyers preferably close to where the cards and flyers are created in the store. Excellent advertising if this were possible. I bet if you purchase your cards and flyers there in big quantities, they would allow this. You never know unless you try.

Now…let’s see what YOU can come up with.

Make your offline marketing unique. Promotion ideas are endless. It is really all up to you…the ball is in your court. Offline marketing is what YOU make of it. Try and be as creative and resourceful as you can.

And you know…the best offline marketing method ever is “word of mouth.” Just start talking about your business among others and that gets THOSE people talking as well, and so on.

The holiday season is the very best time to put your marketing efforts into full motion and earn that much-needed extra income. There are many, many techniques at your fingertips. Get out there and use them. Motivate, create, and thrive.

Happy holidays to you!
